How long is the detox programme?
The length of your detox will depend on what substances you have been using and the regularity and amount used.

The doctor and the nursing team will discuss your detox with you on admission after a medical check & consultation.
​
Alcohol and tranquilisers require longer detoxes for safety reasons and will rarely be less than 7 to 10 days. Certain detox meds may incur additional charges.
How long is the inpatient programme?
The inpatient programme starts with 21 days of residential treatment at the clinic. Long-term programmes can be up to 12 months depending on your personal situation.

The programme includes a detox period and 11 months of aftercare support.
​
Your inpatient programme can be extended into a long-term Recovery Reintegration Programme depending on your individual needs.
What are the programme fees?
The fees for each programme differ depending on your medical aid and length of stay.

There is a R3,600 patient management fee payable on all admissions. We accept cash, efts or credits cards.
​
Our team at the clinic is happy to talk your through the financial aspects of the programme, and advise you on what is covered by medical aid and any cash shortfalls that you may need to cover.
What do I need to bring for my stay?
Please bring clothing that is comfortable and season-appropriate, and toiletries and towels.

Phones, e-readers, and laptops are allowed after seven days and you may bring a personal music player with headphones.
​
Please being any chronic medication and relevant doctors' report or test results. ​
Please bring your ID card and your medical aid card with you for admission purposes.
Will I be able to work at the clinic?
If you are self-employed or need to be in contact with work this can be discussed and arranged prior to admission.

The first seven days should ideally be about rest and recovery, and we strongly advise that you try and take medical leave during this time.
​
The length of your medical detox will depend on the substances used and your personal medical situation. The doctor and the clinic are able to issue medical leave certificates. Please confirm your requirements on admission.
What's included in the programme?
The programme includes your accommodation and meals, your groups sessions and your individual therapy and coaching.

Your initial consult with the treating doctor and your detox meds are covered. External therapy, medical and psychiatric consults are not included in your programme and will be discussed if they arise.
​
The outpatient and aftercare programme is included and you don't pay extra for attendance at the group for 11 months after your inpatient treatment.
What help will I get during my stay?

What can I do when I am not in sessions?
You are encouraged to use the evenings and weekends to reflect on the work that you are doing in the programme. There is a TV, highspeed fibre and Netflix in the house. You may also bring an e-reader.

There is a small café on the property, and a lovely garden and swimming pool, as well as a small functional gym.
​
There is visiting on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays after the first seven days. This will be discussed on admission.
